About Us

Kennedy K9 Camp is a dog daycare, dog training, and pet-sitting company founded in 2016 by owner Chris Kennedy. After working in various parts of the pet industry, Chris noticed a need for more professional pet care providers. While working as a veterinary technician, clients often asked for recommendations for dog walkers and pet sitters. 

In 2014, while working at a dog daycare, Chris observed that many dogs didn’t fit into a traditional daycare setting and he became attached to these dogs. In 2016, Chris took the initiative to start independently running his own dog-walking and pet-sitting business. Continuing his education, Chris realized that dogs need more than just physical exercise; they also require enrichment and mental stimulation. This realization led Chris to attend Catch Academy for dog training, where he became a certified dog trainer. As a result, dog training became the next offering from Kennedy K9 Camp. 

In 2024, Chris and Kennedy K9 Camp relocated to Halifax, Massachusetts, to open a new climate-controlled dog daycare and training facility. This expansion further solidified their commitment to professional pet care services.
